Thermo King, Petit Forestier and IFFEN Institute Create Education Platform for Future Refrigeration Technicians in France

New professional learning programme from transport refrigeration experts to create certified, proficient refrigeration technicians and new career opportunities.
Thermo King®, a leader in transport temperature control solutions and a brand of Trane Technologies, in partnership with Petit Forestier, a leader in the full-service refrigerated rentals sector, and the French Institute of Energy Training (Institut Français de Formation en Énergétique IFFEN), announced today a new work-study training programme in France. The goal of the education course is to offer comprehensive education, training and certification to technicians wanting to increase their proficiency in operating and servicing transport refrigeration equipment.
The first 14-month long education course will start in November 2022. Successful participants will be awarded with the Road Embedded Refrigeration Technician title (Technicien(ne) Froid Embarqué Routier), a professional degree recognized by the French State. During and at the end of the programme, graduates are also offered a permanent contract at one of Petit Forestier agencies or Thermo King dealerships.

Course materials draw on the expertise of Petit Forestier and Thermo King applications engineers, product engineers, technical support engineers and technical trainers who are familiar with all aspects of refrigeration equipment. Following the comprehensive education, training, and certification, the graduates will be qualified to provide the leading service and repair for transport refrigeration components and units.
