Thermo King Latest Technology and Sustainable Advancements in Transport Refrigeration at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2015

Temperature-controlled transport is an essential part of every vibrant city and a challenging market due to evolving trends and new regulations encouraging efficiency, sustainability and noise limitations in densely populated areas.
Thermo King, a manufacturer of transport temperature control solutions for a variety of mobile applications and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, together with its extensive network of UK and Irish dealers, will feature its newest customer-oriented solutions and services at the booth 3C120 of the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, UK, from the 14th to the 16th of April 2015.

New lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerant solutions
Thermo King is the first in the market to offer a solution for customers wanting to transition to a safe, reliable and efficient refrigerant in trailer units with the next generation refrigerant, DuPont™ Opteon® XP44 (R-452A). This next generation refrigerant has about 50 percent less Global Warming Potential (GWP) than the current refrigerant.
The new SLXe™ trailer units with next generation refrigerant are in production now and can be ordered in Europe. Later in 2015, Thermo King will be expanding the new refrigerant product offering to its extensive line of truck products. For transport customers who want to transition their existing units, Thermo King offers a refrigerant replacement service through its dealer network, the most expansive network in the industry.
R-452A does not compromise the safety, capacity or efficiency of the refrigeration unit, while the unit performance remains unchanged, providing the same cooling capacity, pull-down and fuel efficiency but with an improved environmental performance courtesy of the lower GWP of R-452A.
Optimal temperature control for home delivery fleet
The new Thermo King V-200/300 Max Spectrum vehicle powered multi temperature units are designed for applications on small trucks and vans to better address the needs in the retail home delivery segment for lightweight and load space maximization. The units feature new evaporators to better meet dimension requirements and fit in the compartment offering reduced weight for increased payload.
Higher efficiency and performance standards provide customers with the required cooling capacity at all temperatures and enable faster temperature recovery from multiple door openings during distribution operations. Continuous monitoring of the load and temperature control is easy to operate through the Direct Smart Reefer microprocessor control.
Silent deliveries
Traffic noise has become one of the most widespread environmental problems in the UK and European Union and many distribution companies are looking for ways to limit the noise levels of their fleets and offer quiet delivery capabilities.
Thermo King offers its customers a portfolio of solutions that combine quiet operation with uncompromised performance and low environmental impact like the SLXe™ Whisper Pro range that complies with the most stringent Noise Abatement Society (NAS-Piek) requirements.
Nationwide aftermarket capability
Thermo King offers peace of mind to transporters of temperature sensitive products through a comprehensive, nationwide network of certified dealers. Customers requiring assistance and support can contact the dealerships through a dedicated, multi-lingual, 24-hour service line that connects them to an authorized dealer, regardless of where they travel or do business. Depot locations throughout the UK and Ireland are further enhanced by several hundred mobile workshops creating a unique network of fully trained and F-Gas certified service technicians who provide advice to end-users and assist them in optimizing their operations, 24/7/365.

CryoTech Range
The CryoTech systems provide fleet managers with a refrigeration solution that offers maximum load protection while delivering high efficiency, precise temperature control and telematics integration capabilities together with low environmental impact and reduced noise levels. CryoTech technology uses recovered and commercially available liquid carbon dioxide (R744) in an indirect open-cycle system, generating no new greenhouse gas emissions. The CryoTech trailer display unit will be located outside at the NEC 1 area close to Hall 3a.
