Thermo King Discusses Innovative Climate Control Solutions for Rail Systems at InnoTrans in Berlin

Attendees will learn about increasing demands of urban transportation and how to solve these problems without sacrificing profitability or passenger comfort

Today, for the first time in human history, more people are living in urban areas, creating several challenges for growing cities around the world. Thermo King, a manufacturer of transport temperature control solutions for a variety of mobile applications and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, will address the issues that are on the minds of rail operators today and showcase its rail HVAC systems and services at the InnoTrans2014 from 23-26 Sept. in Berlin (stand Hall 3.1/222).

In his presentation, van Roozendaal will address how transportation operations can:

Michel van Roozendaal is the vice president and general manager for the Global Marine, Rail and Bus transport refrigeration and HVAC division of Thermo King, a brand of Ingersoll Rand. With a career background in technology, exposure to product development, manufacturing and sales, van Roozendaal has been responsible for delivering integrated solutions to customers in a variety of different fields. Prior to his current role with Ingersoll Rand, van Roozendaal was the vice president of services and controls for Trane, a brand of Ingersoll Rand that is a leading global provider of indoor comfort solutions and services, in Europe, Middle East, India and Africa. van Roozendaal, who speaks five languages, obtained a degree in aerospace engineering from Delft University in the Netherlands and a master’s degree ofbusiness administration in marketing, business policy and strategy and corporate finance from INSEAD in France.
