Readers Recognise Thermo King as Best Brand for Record-Breaking Eighth Consecutive Year

Readers at three German trade magazines have recognised Thermo King as the top brand in the refrigeration units category for the eighth consecutive year. Thermo King again proved the readers’ top choice in the 2012 annual “Best Brands” poll of readers conducted by DEKRA, based in Stuttgart, Germany.

Thermo King, a manufacturer of transport temperature control systems for a variety of mobile applications and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, first received recognition in 2005 when DEKRA decided to extend the survey from the truck and bus industry to cover markets supplying commercial vehicles.

More than 8.000 readers, representing Germany’s commercial vehicle professionals, responded to this year’s poll which was organised by three trade magazines: Lastauto Omnibus, Fernfahrer and Trans Aktuell. Readers were asked to select best brands based in 22 categories.

“We will continue to focus on anticipating and meeting customer needs by providing services that increase operational and energy efficiency,” said Pauli Johanessen, director of Northern Europe for Thermo King, after accepting the award at a ceremony on 24 May in Stuttgart, Germany. “We are honored that commercial vehicle professionals have recognised our efforts and want to thank our sales and service team and our dealers and workshops for the critical roles they play in our success.”

Thermo King has a nationwide sales and service network in Germany, comprised of five authorised dealers and 71 authorised service centres. This network provides the German market with customised Thermo King innovative transport solutions.
