Thermo King Introduces New V-600 and V-800 Series of Powerful Refrigeration Units for City Distribution
Thermo King, a manufacturer of transport temperature control solutions for a variety of mobile applications and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, introduces the new V-600 and V-800 refrigeration units. The new solutions provide environmentally friendly transport refrigeration for medium to large sized trucks.
Transport companies are looking for sustainable solutions that help maximise fuel efficiency and meet current and pending environmental regulations. The new V-series delivers high performance while consuming significantly less energy and achieving lower carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per Watts compared to its predecessors V-500 Plus and V-700.
The V-600 and V-800 series comprise two-piece split units designed for fresh, frozen and deep frozen applications for urban distribution. In addition, the new series are quieter than conventional units in this segment. This low noise solution enables companies to make inner city deliveries at any time, increasing the cost efficiency of each delivery.

This makes them a great solution for all type of applications from dairy to pharmaceutical transportation and also a reliable option for renting companies.”
V-600 Series range - The V-600 Series range delivers increased performance more efficiently. A more efficient evaporator and an all-aluminum condenser coil bring significant life cycle benefits and create less environmental impact. The V-600 Series is equipped with the TM16 swash plate compressor for ease of installation and drive kit availability.
In comparison to the V-500 MAX Plus Series, the V-600 delivers a 6.5 percent increase in capacity and 20 percent higher airflow. The V-600 Series is designed for trucks up to six meters long. To better match customer needs, the unit is available in a wide selection of models and voltages.
The V-800 Series - The V-800 Series is equipped with a new swash plate compressor powered by the vehicle’s engine increasing availability of drive kits for ease of installation. The series delivers reliability and efficiency in both cooling and heating modes.
Suitable for trucks up to eight meters long, the new V-800 Series is the most powerful range for both cooling and heating modes currently believed to be on the market. This series offers 12 percent capacity increase and 15 percent higher airflow with the ES800 evaporator in comparison to the V-700 Series. The V-800 Series is available in a full range to meet specific application requirements.
Both series use the advanced Direct Smart Reefer controller, bringing the latest in microprocessor-based intelligent control to Thermo King’s direct drive range. The controller provides accurate temperature control. In addition, it employs an easy-to-use interface and offers best-in-class exposure experience.
